On the 20th of October, 2015 Kharkiv Karazin National University hosted presentation of a new master’s program “Ecogeochemistry of oil and gas” and a university laboratory, established with the support of the British-Dutch company “Shell”.
The head of the company “Shell” in Ukraine John Graham Tiley was invited to the event, which was also attended by scientists, teachers, industry experts, media representatives, students. Rector of the University Vil Bakirov solemnly inaugurated the event, and the dean of the chemical faculty Oleg Kalugin convincingly proved the necessity and importance of the new program.
It seems that everything is as it has to be: University prepares a scientific basis and professionals, “Shell” funds research and provides practice for these professionals at “Shell” company.
