it's not about winter. Consider this: At a time when Germany was paying $4 per unit for Russian gas to manufacture cars, Japan was paying $8 for imported LNG.
How will Germany remain competitive when it pays world market prices for its energy?
The German leadership has gone crazy, they make no sense on any level. Their economy will be reduced by a big margin and if they refuse to repair the problem Germany will be poor country.
In the past Germany was known for destroying other countries, now they are hell-bent on destroying themselves.
That is good news. Now if we could finally unite our markets.
A lot of panic because of the press agonizing people but Germany has partners in EU and the 'containers' are about full by end of Augustus. Gas is costly everywhere in the EU so we are all in the same situation and furthermore the business relation with Russia is broken and it is a big question if it will ' ever ' come to the ' old ' situation. Look at the ' bright' site, it is a challenge to reduce Carbon emissions faster than 2030 or 2050 and a lot will be suspended by the Electric Grid all around the EU at which all countries in the EU are interconnected. North Sea countries multiply x 3, x 4 electr from windmills on the North Sea, Denmark is building enormous windmill islands at sea, Nuclear atomic plants will be kept open for an longer period etc etc Wir schaffen es.
