The United States of America’s Department of Energy says it’s had to tap into its Strategic Petroleum Reserves to create stability following the global upheaval caused by the conflict between Ukraine and Russia. It’s the largest publicly known emergency stockpile of petroleum in the world at several million barrels. But this decision, however, has led to increased prices. The American delegation addressed the Africa Oil Week conference in Cape Town.
