In this video, we explore the ‘Bitcoin Manhunt’ story of James Howells, a man who was one of the first 6 Bitcoin miners in the world (alongside Satoshi Nakamoto) and would earn over 7,500 coins of the cryptocurrency in 2009. However, shortly after doing so, he decided to take a break for a few years. Several years later, James made a mistake that would haunt him for the rest of his life. This mistake would result in him losing all of his Bitcoins, which at their peak price had a total investment value of $127 million. While devastating to hear, this insurmountable amount of money lost has gone on to become one of the most notable stories within the cryptocurrency community.
