On 7 June 2017 the IChemE Energy Centre hosted The Future of Oil and Gas in South Africa at the University of Cape Town, South Africa (SA), with participants taking part in person and online.

Hosted by Energy Centre Board member Professor Jim Petrie, the event explored the long-term outlook for oil and gas in South Africa, looking at the challenges and opportunities on the horizon for the region and oil and gas’ role in the future energy system.

The workshop forms part of a global conversation steered by the IChemE to look beyond the immediate challenges for the oil and gas (ONG) industry. For more information please contact energycentre@icheme.org
