Most of the natural gas entering Austria is distributed through the Baumgarten natural gas station. Modern compressor stations and numerous metering and transfer stations facilitate efficient transportation along the natural gas highway.
The largest import and entry station for natural gas in Austria is located in Baumgarten (Lower Austria). Natural gas from Russia, Norway, and other countries is transferred, measured, tested, and compressed for further transportation there.
