Well, I am not that certain that in future this "behavior" of bitcoin will keep the same. Markets are changing and volatility will likely change, flatten.
Something the calcul doesnt do year over year is if you stacked or not. For most of them if you stacked in 2020 you will be up much more than the X5 mentionned. But again nothing beat a mix of everything try to sell the top, stack when able and buy back when low. Exemple my 8000 matic does about 200-250 matic stacked by month, mix of the apr from liquidstaking and pair pooled at 12% on some dex.
Hello Rob, I wanted to share a thought with you. Your rule about taking profit is in fact financial advice. In your video you seem to imply that not selling your Crypto until you are ready is a bad idea. It almost suggested that you should be a trader to get the greatest yield. You bring up Michael, who is not selling BTC and your tone would indicate you think he is foolish to ride out the highs and lows. I understand where he is coming from and the bear market made that very clear. I bought on the down turn but I bought before we hit bottom. All of the coins I purchased are still in the Red. I ran out of money before we hit bottom. I am ok with that because my crypto investment is a long term hold. I am not looking to sell for another 15 years. Remember what you have said 100 time. “Your goals are not my goals” and “I am not your father”. I think you were on the right track but the execution of the content was not your best work. All that said, i will miss you when you go off the air. I like your perspective in the good times and the bad.
Remember… DCAing only works if you actually SELL!

DCA Bitcoin only. Problem solved.
I wish I took this advice when I entered in 2017. After you get rekt and rug pulled and have a Mashinsky enter your life you start to realise why you originally entered the market. If I had exited my trading positions in 2021 my house would be paid for. I try to imagine my life with no mortgage, and this is what drives me now. Coming up to being 50 yrs old and being debt free is the dream. No mortgage would cut out so much inflation and interest rate noise and less stress. This is my goal as I keep DCAing into Bitcoin now.
Blindly DCA'ing is a stupid strategy
I'm glad you are improving your regular DCA; dynamic DCA is much better! I remember you tackled DCAing using the F&G index by pointing out how subpar selling would be, and granted it is nowhere near as accurate because when we hit extreme greed, we can stay there for quite a while. But for those who don't want to pay a subscription for indicators, a simpler approach would be this: DCA in fear, don't in greed. This extremely simple rule would improve regular DCA by 10X minimum.

The most important part of DCA in crypto is to also DCA out. I actually do opposite of most. I lump sum in at the 200 W MA and then I DCA out.
But you are getting more coin all along the way.
