The X-Mine project studies and develops X-ray and 3D vision based sensing technologies and 3D/4D ore deposit modelling technologies. The technologies studied are integrated in two complete large-scale prototypes (the so-called X-Analyser and X-AnalySorter), which will be demonstrated in the four mining sites of the project. It is expected that these demonstration activities will be a significant breakthrough in using sensing technologies to aid ore deposit modelling and mineral sorting for optimal extraction.
