alamain 42 this is the scenario we’re
going to be playing today right and
we’re going to play it from the German
side so before we get started please

balanced and from the Ally side it’s
balance hypothetical all right 42 from
the the 1st of the 5th 1942 to the 9th
of the 5th nine days offensive is weird
on the offensive objectives are two and
the start dat the 1st of the 5th 42 what
if the aess had kept the initiative
throughout 1941 and reached the British
defensive line at Al L elain early in
1942 the probably the the British
probably wouldn’t have enough time to
significantly fortify the position and
the US help would come too late to
change the balance of forces maybe this
would be just enough for the Germans and
Italians to e the sewers seers Canal all
right situation situation and objective
we are the door step of Ciro our forces
are well rested and prepared for this
offensive we have enough fuel and
materials to keep the pressure uh keep
the pressure if we succeed in breaking
through our objective is to break
through enemy position and capture the
key positions behind the front line all
right alamain 42 let’s play

look at the order of battle 15th and
21st paner division as well as the 90th
light L Africa the division and then we
got the Italians High coming in behind
our heels nothing in losses right let’s
just see what the Intel says okay this
is an important Crossroad and strategic
position with a defensive box to protect
it all right so that’s going to be well
protected uh we assess the enemy has two
core in the in reserve positioned
somewhere behind the front line they are
probably defending Alam Hal hala hala
and I can’t I can’t pronounce that
anyway they’re defending over there and
this is the the this is the key of the
enemy position if we captur the enemy we
cut off from his bases in Alexander and
and Kyo

days uh there’s a 2% chance of rain so
I’m going to pause it and just arrange
my troops uh well let me just give you

these forces well in this game even when
I win I win for like a fori victory I

here but it was poorly executed I
thought I’d go down this road

contested all flies out the window
because it becomes congested and then
your you units of breaking and then the
formations are gone and your HQ is over
here then you can’t get them through
because all the traffic jams you can
only stack two units in a x so that’s a
bit of a
problem always been a bit of a problem
what I should have maybe done is just
take each opened up there brought one
paner battalion open here let him come
through there so if he routes he routes
back and then brought the other one the
the division and let them like work on
the M the mines here and like minefields
because you need to have free movement
the minute you get congested like this e
all flies out the window then you

everybody’s all over the and you’re
always having to all these those back in
but because of all the traffic jams they
can’t pass they can’t they can’t stack
with two o and they can’t pass through
any guy that’s got two o’s two’s in that
stack so that stack effectively blocks
everybody behind them so it’s a it’s a
a moan to get that I know I’m
giving a lot of excuses but I thought we
did a right thing just poorly executed

it’ll be easier as the AI I think that
