The cartel of oil countries which control a substantial portion of global oil reserves recently agreed to cut output starting in early 2019. With a global oversupply having brought crude prices down more than one-third since October, this move could help restore stability. But with more U.S. production set to enter the market later in 2019, there’s one important metric investors need to watch closely for the oil stocks they follow.
