Sloan didn’t expect ask for any personal
information I let my guard down
a few months ago Sloan found out that
she was the victim of a scam all while
she was battling cancer what started as
Facebook conversations about
cryptocurrency Led Sloan to invest
hundreds into the digital platform what
she didn’t know was the platform she was
trading on was fake what moved from the
trading platform back into my account
were counterfeit coins I didn’t know
there was such a thing as counterfeit
coins the value of the investment that
slown lost is now estimated to be nearly
$2 million scams like the one she fell
victim to are getting more difficult to
navigate as technology develops a United
Nations report says the growth of
cryptocurrency exchanges and even online
gambling platforms are actually becoming
vessels for high crimes like money
laundering and just last year according
to Forbes even federal agencies are
being duped by these complex crypto
scams we’re analyzing crypto
transactions in blockchain analysis
we’re looking at organized crime that
that’s just part of the work balel reviv
is focused on as co-founder of Lionsgate
Network The Firm tracks and attempts to
recover stolen cryptocurrency funds and
it’s reportedly been successful in
identifying and intercepting those
crypto accounts but yet another layer to
an already complicated issue is finding
Partnerships it’s our greatest pain we
want to find better conversations with
the FBI with police with uh Homeland
Security and we’re seeing that light and
that solution coming to fruition now
more than ever now the problem here is
that we have yet to see widespread

his own are trying to work with law
enforcement meanwhile law enforcement
has its own limitations on trying to
break down these scams catch the people
responsible and get people’s money back
