Good news, Kapamilya! The month of May is off to a great start, with another oil price rollback expected by Tuesday next week, the Department of Energy said Friday.

Rodela Romero, Director III of the DOE Oil Industry Management Bureau, said talk of a ceasefire in Gaza and the US Federal Reserve’s decision to keep interest rates steady are factors in the expected rollback.

The expected petroleum price changes, based on 4 days of trading on Mean of Platts Singapore, are as follows:

    Diesel – P0.50-P0.70/L

    Gasolina – P0.20-P0.45/L

    Kerosene – P0.60-P0.70/L

This will be the 3rd cut in pump prices in the past 3 weeks.
