Valdimir Putin Hinted at the 2022 Invasion of Ukraine in 2007
I think it’s fair to say that Vladimir Putin was being pretty clear about where he was headed he showed up at the Munich security conference in 2007 and basically said there are parts of Mother Russia as envisioned by Peter the Great that need to be reunified and we kind of ignored him we waited seven years Putin took Crimea it took a year for the United States to put sanctions on the next year the chancellor of Germany signed the nordstream 2 agreement and declared that the Russians were a reliable supplier and so it’s perfectly reasonable that Putin would have come to the conclusion that if he decided to take all of Ukraine no one was really seriously going to get in his way
