Prices on regular non-frozen items are inching up at dollar tree without notice. They have just started to print a red circle on regular items… look for it… so not all the regular stuff is $1.25 anymore. I didn't know this and bought a few things and got hit with secret price increase. Time to stock up on your favorites before the whole store turns into $1.50 or more. Obviously everything isn't worth it but there are still some great finds. Just didn't like the sneaky price increase.

I always found dollar tree was hit or miss and you need to be selective in what you buy.
I find they have items that fall into three buckets, with most things there falling into the first two.
1. Size so small the price is not good.
2. Quality so low, a low price is not worth it. Some of there items I wouldn’t get even if they were free.
3. A few select items like cards where the price and quality make it a good deal.
