Online debate: Blockchain for charity

Masha and Xenia Vyazemskaya (CryptoTwins) will be hosting a panel dedicated to Blockchain for Charity with Martijn Hekman (Founder of 180.works), Roel Wolfert (Chairman Cryptodelta and managing partner at VGRIP and Herman Vissia Ph.D (CEO of Byelex).

We’ll be discussing:
-How payments in charity work and how blockchain can help disrupt it 
-Fighting corruption and bureaucracy 
-Existing blockchain-based payment solutions for charity (Ripple, Stellar and other)
-Universal basic income

Martijn Hekman, the founder of 180.works, has the vision to  reduce existing cost of charity programs , by 80 %, directly paying people all over the world via the blockchain powered 180 app. He has 20-years’ experience in international humanitarian emergency management, spanning 20 countries. Working with U.N. charities, Fortune 500 companies and startups, he oversaw successful implementation of 50+ complex international aid projects, worth more than $1 billion USD.

Herma Vissia is pioneering new technology for the semantic web, researches cryptography, and lectures about cryptocurrencies, AI and Blockchain technology. He is also the founder of ByeleX, The Next Innovation Company, helping organizations maneuver through avant-garde technology by building tailored software and tech solutions. Herman also founded Liqwith, revolutionizing lending markets through tokenizing of equity.

Roel Wolfert is a senior FinTech executive whom has held position amongst other in the leadership of VISA and Logica besides scaling up several FinTech start ups. Today he serves as a non-executive in amongst others Liqwith.io the equity tokenization company, okapifinance the remittance payments company and he is the founder and chairman of Cryptodelta. Cryptodelta is a foundation aimed at building the digital asset ecosystem in Europe.
