In 2019, 45% of the EU’s natural gas imports came from Russia, some of which flowed through a pipeline called the Nord Stream. As a second similar pipeline — backed by Russia’s state owned energy giant Gazprom — nears completion, it is at the center of an international dispute. CNBC’s Tom Chitty reports.
