A gigantic pipe-laying ship is currently heading toward the Baltic Sea in order to install the offshore section of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline. The Pioneering Spirit will proudly sail around Europe, pass the British shore through the English Channel, and carefully go around dreamy Denmark via the Skagerrak and the Kattegat, which will take it to the Baltic Sea. The ship’s new job is the Nord Stream 2. It can start laying pipes; nothing stands in its way. Everything’s going as planned.
