The crypto market is pumping in anticipation of the Coinbase IPO Nasdaq Listing tomorrow with Bitcoin crossing $63,000 and XRP over $1.80. At $64,000, Bitcoin becomes the 6th largest currency in the world and overtakes the British pound sterling in size. Coinbase’s stock has been given a reference price of $250 ahead of Wednesday’s direct listing on the Nasdaq stock exchange. Emboldened by recent wins in its ongoing legal battle with the SEC, Ripple has filed a motion to dismiss the XRP lawsuit entirely. Time magazine is partnering with Grayscale Investments to produce a new education crypto video series and TIME will be paid for the series in bitcoin while holding the cryptocurrency on its balance sheet. ConsenSys, an Ethereum development operation headquartered in Brooklyn, N.Y., has raised $65 million from financial institutions JPMorgan, Mastercard and UBS, as well as leading firms in the decentralized finance (DeFi) space. Gryphon Digital Mining has raised $14 million to establish renewable energy-driven bitcoin mining operations in the United States.Republican Kevin McCarthy says Fed chair needs more education on crypto.
