The Talk
Mining Equipment companies increasingly are attracting the interest of equity investors for their ability to impact and improve the productivity, emissions and safety of Mining operations around the world. In this seminar we will seek to highlight the listed Mining Equipment business models from a the perspective of capital markets, the key themes under discussion in the sub-sector, and the financial metrics that investors are drawn to when assessing these companies next to each other. The companies we will refer to in this discussion will include Epiroc, Sandvik, Metso-Outotec, FL Smidth and Weir group. While all of these companies operate in the Mining Equipment value chain they continue to generate a range of strategies, performance and execution that have resulted in very different levels of shareholder value creation across the economic cycle.
