This data visualisation illustrates the changing share of renewable sources in the energy grids of European countries. The height and color both represent each country’s performance; demonstrating that there are major differences. Nordic countries perform best, probably due to the geological possibilities for generating energy (hydro and geothermal). The Benelux clearly constitutes an underperforming region in Europe when it comes to green energy.
