Ilaria Conti (Head of FSR Gas Area) discusses with Klaus-Dieter Borchardt (Deputy Director General at European Commission, DG Energy) about the announced flagship initiative of the new EU Commission led by Ursula von der Leyen – the ‘European Green Deal’ with a special focus on its value for the EU citizens and customers.

Then, the EU Commission official elaborates on the idea of carbon border tax – also included in Ms von der Leyen’s agenda and concludes with some remarks on the balance between the three objectives of the EU Energy Policy: sustainability, competitiveness and security of supply.
