This video is about renewable energy and resources of renewable energy. This video will explain about the renewable energy resources like: Biomass, Solar Power,

Geothermal Energy, Hydroelectricity, Tidal Power, Tide Waves.

    Q: What is Geothermal Energy?
Ans: Geothermal energy is the energy of the Earth obtained in the form of steam or hot water. This source of renewable energy in the form of hot water or steam would

be used to convert into other sources of useful energy like electrical or kinetic energy.
Geothermal energy is the potential source of energy which can be obtained through natural process from the core of the earth. But geographically, it is limited only to

few areas. It is only in use in 24 countries, but potential sites are evaluated or spotted across the globe.

    Q: What is Solar Energy?

Ans: Solar Energy is the Energy of the sun which reaches the earth in the form of the sunlight. We can convert this Solar Energy of the sun into the useful energy like

electricity and potential energy through the use of solar cell or voltaic cell. One voltaic cell or solar cell produces small amount of voltage. In order to get

sufficient amount of voltage, solar cells are connected in series way to make a solar panel. Solar panels are used to convert sunlight into electrical energy.

    Q: What is Biomass?

Ans: Biomass is the energy obtained from living or dead living organisms like plants, animal and natural vegetation. The biomass is converted into fuels through

direct combustion or fermentation. In direct combustion method, the dead living materials are burnt in a confined containers. While that in Fermentation, the dead

living materials are converted into the fuel through bacterial action in the absence of air.

    Q: What is Hydroelectricity?

Ans: Hydroelectricity is generated from the gravitational energy of the falling or flowing water in dams or in reservoirs. The fast flowing or falling water are used

to convert it gravitational energy into electrical energy by running or turning turbines. The Kinetic energy of the turbines is converted into the electrical energy.

    Q: What is Tidal Power?
Ans: Tidal power is the energy of the oceans. If a dam or basin is constructed at the bank of the oceans then in rushing and outgoing water would be used to drive

    turbines and generate electricity.

    Q: What is wave power?
Ans: Wave Power is also the energy of the oceans in the forms of waves. The fast moving moves in a proper waves would be trapped and would be converted into useful energy.
