Paul from the Bitswift Blockchain, Alex as a Unity developer, and Elizabeth representing Ardor / Nxt Group joined together to participate in the Hack4Heritage event in Kingston, Ontario.

The Bitswift Team explored ways that blockchain technology could join with virtual reality to preserve heritage and the historical record to be used within a mixed reality experience built with Unity3D.

At the end of the hackathon, the team had a working product in the form of a plugin to enter a data record into the Bitswift blockchain built on the Ardor platform. This plugin could be used inside any project built with Unity3D to interact with the blockchain.

The project also demonstrated how this data could be extracted from the blockchain in real time inside a mixed reality or Unity3D project. There is a map room with portals to three historical sites in Kingston, Ontario.

For more information about using this plugin in your project, contact Paul through bitswift.io.
