Stop “Investing” In Silver and Gold! This is no clickbait title. Many of you are new to my YT channel, and some of you have no idea what “Stacking the Yankee Way” means—maybe that’s the first time you’ve heard the phrase that literally launched my channel. There is a critical tenet to gold and silver stacking that I’m passionate about! And it’s this: Stop looking to physical silver and gold as a means to gain wealth. Gold and silver are poor investments in any traditional sense of that word! Gold, silver, and for that matter platinum, palladium, rhodium–any physical precious metal–do not cash flow or provide you with any yield. You will not derive regular income like you would from a stock dividend, or rental property, or private mortgage lending, or a monetized YT channel, or from the investment you make in an education or side hustle. Unless you’re a silver and gold dealer, it isn’t bringing in the cash! And from a capital appreciation standpoint, it’s not a good investment either. When silver or gold is measured in currency—like the US dollar—ANY appreciation of wealth you see in your stack as the price of an ounce of silver or gold go up is largely swallowed up by inflation.
The value of physical precious metals should be seen in terms of it’s price against REAL TANGIBLE ASSETS! FOOD, CLOTHES, SHELTER, AMMO, GAS. Other Necessities of life, not against intrinsically worthless fiat dollars. Physical Gold and silver are first and foremost one thing: INSURANCE! They are a means of long term—potentially generational— protection against a host of existential dangers. And in this video I explain the various “hedges” that gold and silver provide!
