The rising cost of gasoline is breaking records across Canada amid the country’s COVID-19 pandemic recovery.

    Demand was so low in April 2020 that oil was somehow selling for below zero dollars. Today, demand has seen crude surge to a seven-year high.

    But as Mike Drolet explains, the shift to green energy means oil production is much lower than usual, and that’s fueling a shortage worldwide.
