Hi all,

I recently came across a website which claims to offer cheap subscriptions to popular OTT platforms like Netflix, Disney+, Spotify, even licensed software like Adobe and Canva, and 18+ platforms.

At first glance, it looks like a great deal — but after digging deeper, things seem shady. Here's what they appear to be doing:

    • They resell access to OTT and software accounts at a fraction of the normal price.
    • You don’t get your own account — you're either added to a family plan or given shared login credentials.
    • These platforms (Netflix, Canva, Adobe, etc.) explicitly prohibit account sharing or reselling in their terms of service.
    • The site doesn’t have any legal partnerships with the platforms they resell.
    • Similar services have previously operated through Telegram groups before launching “official-looking” websites.
    • There’s no customer support or refund transparency, and the legality is questionable at best.
    • They don't have payment processors. what they do is they take online payment and ask for the transaction ID, then match the ID with they payment they received (if).

It reminds me of sites like GamsGo, where they sell access to “family plans” or cracked accounts that may be stolen or created using bots.

    My questions:

    1. Is this illegal under Indian cyber law or globally?
    2. Is it unethical to use such a service as a customer if you’re unaware?
    3. Could this type of platform be prosecuted or shut down?
    4. What’s the risk for users — like data theft, financial fraud, or even legal trouble?

I’d appreciate any legal, ethical, or cybersecurity insight.

Is it legal or ethical for sites like to resell OTT/software subscriptions at cheap rates?
