So tbh – this wasn’t even an attempt to save money, I just wanted to cut down on environmental waste. I’ve always read about turning old shirts into washable rags to avoid the landfill. So I cut some up a few months ago after realizing they were too stained and ratty to donate. Now I use them for so many things in my apartment instead of always grabbing sheets of paper towels, and it has kinda been life changing. I just replaced a new roll yesterday and remembered the last time l did that was the end of June. Cool beans.
I use a single roll of paper towels every 6 weeks

Smart 👌🏾 That’s an idea I can get behind.
I use washcloths, blue ones for the kitchen, red for misc cleaning.
I cut up wasted towels too
I don’t use paper towels at all.
I will never be able to get rid of paper towels entirely, but we use very few! I think we use a Costco package every 2 years?
Facial tissues on the other hand… Allergy season laughs at us.
It’s 4am … Somehow I read that as toilet paper and had to click in to see how it was feasible. 😂
I only use paper towels to clean up ick that needs to be thrown away like cooking oil. Otherwise, I use a kitchen towel (and change daily) for cleaning up messes or cleaning the counters.
