Seriously. We frugal folks talk a lot about buying in bulk, prepping meals and freezing them, freezing fruits and veg. That’s important and worth the time, but it can all fall apart if you simply stick it in the freezer and forget it! I keep a handwritten list on the side of my refrigerator with two categories, Ingredients and Meals. Ingredients include uncooked meats, vegetables, fruits, and etc. if I use half of a can of pumpkin purée for muffins, the other half gets frozen and noted on the list, for example. Meals are either leftovers that are heat and eat or meals I prepped for freezing. The list is helpful for inspiration on those low energy days, but also for using up bits of this and that. It’s a game changer for sure!
