I live in a hot part of LA County (the valley). During the worst heat my bill hits around $600 for 2 months with the AC running somewhere around 76-78 depending on how hot it feels.
I just bought fans and have had the AC comfortably set to 79. It’s only a few degrees difference and it’ll probably be set closer to 76 overnight anyway so I can sleep comfortably….
so just wondering if anyone else has tried this and what your results were like.
How much did you save when you supplemented your AC with fans?

If you don’t have them already, get blackout curtains for all of your windows. Keep them closed during the day.
The house I’m in the owners keep the doors closed and most registers blocked. All the AC stays in the basement then they complain about the high electric bills. Talking is like banging your head off a wall.
