These Wrangler stretchy cargo pants from Walmart are decent for the price, but they pill really bad and get these broken elastic strands. I shaved the pilling off, but these strands make me constantly look dirty. Maybe I could dye them? Run a flame over them quickly to melt the nylon? Any other ideas?

Shave them, just like shaving your legs.
A sweater shaver would do wonders
Do you put them in the dryer? It’s best to air dry fabrics with elastane, especially if it’s a high percentage (>5%)
Would a hot iron shrink them back?
Maybe they change the combination it has polyester blend now
buy better quality pants and hang dry instead of using dryer.
