    Musk companies sue Apple, OpenAI alleging anticompetitive scheme

    Two of Elon Musk’s companies sued Apple and OpenAI on Monday, accusing the pair of an “anticompetitive scheme.”

    The lawsuit, filed by Musk’s artificial intelligence startup xAI and his social media platform X, alleges Apple and OpenAI have “colluded” to maintain monopolies in the smartphone and generative AI markets.

      I think it’s important to consider that grok is pretty terrible and is only used by people in his social media platform. I know people in real life who use chatgpt…I know of exactly zero people who use grok.

      He’s basically just trying to piggy back grok onto twitter to make it seem like more people use it by claiming people who use X must also use grok which is why he’s complaining about their stance on “super apps”.

      Any judge who takes this seriously is an idiot.

      First he wanted a 6 month pause for AI development for “safety”. Wanted other companies to stop developing AI because it’s too dangerous. But behind the scenes he raised billions, hired researchers and bought massive amount of nvidia gpus. The 6 month pause was for others. Not for him. Now he’s mad and filing frivolous lawsuits on other companies with better products than his to not partner together.

      Wants billions in subsidies (Tesla) and govt contracts (SpaceX). Lost advertisers and revenue (Twitter). Suing OpenAI and Apple cause his AI team sucks (xAI / Grok) where even Zuckerberg wouldn’t try to steal his team. Failed to improve government (DOGE) with his wild ideas. Won’t even mention what would happen to him if the US govt ever allowed Chinese EVs to hit the market without blocking and tariffing them. He can’t compete.

      Complete failure of a “tech overlord” billionaire.

      Because GROK also functions as a porn app with uncensored generation creating liability for Apple.

      Legitimate companies with reputations in the business world and throughout do not want an AI that called itself Mecha-Hitler on their platform.
