The back and forth of Fed and Trump administration always looked like banter with Trump never having the guts to interfere much with the fed governors. But today he took the step to try make a solid step forward in interfering the best and most corrupt way in Fed activity.

This if left unchecked can lead to more interference and market manipulation. So welcome to the new world of market manipulation and control.

He feels invincible and few are speaking out loudly enough about his. He’s acting like a 1980’s mobster but using political dictatorial type power, misusing his POTUS role.

He’s going after what he sees as ‘easy targets’ now.. it’ll be someone you respect or a business you love eventually. There are no limits to him. Those actions are how countries turn into a corrupt kleptocracy.

I’d be surprised if there isn’t a pull back in the US dollar and stock market.

If any of you have been to turkey then you know how this plays out, but with a fiat currency this goes global.

    3. Just because you fire the inspectors doesn’t mean the flimsy house you’re building isn’t going to collapse at some point.

    4. Undermining the independence of the central bank is really not a good look. I wonder if it could trigger a selloff of US debt? Might have to wait and see who Trump appoints after Powell’s term ends

    5. I know she responded by saying he doesn’t have the authority and that she will not resign.  So does she remain in her position right now or was the firing effective until she can get a preliminary injunction from a federal court?
