I dont know how many of you fallen in the rabbit hole of looking at startup/entrepreneur youtube…but i dont belive the stories any more.
What do you think the % is BS and how much is true?
Most of it is pure BS.
Like how you can start with 0 money …
It is quite easy for influencers to earn money.
The trick behind this is that they have either the accounts and followers to build the sales upon them, or they sell you outright their courses.
There are also some genuine ones out there like James Sinclaire (i do at least enjoy his videos), but he is not selling a surefire recipe to you.
Basically you need 4 things to be an enterpreneur:
1. Money or a credit line from a bank/investor (good connections help)
2. Skills which are in demand
3. Understanding the basics of economics, so that you don“t fall into a pit trap
4. The drive and endurance to get things going
It is as simple as that.
You can be short on 1 point from this list, at most 2 but in that case you need to add someone (employ) to fill that role for you.
And basically that was it.

A lot of it is exaggerated. probably 70-80% is hype or cherry-picked success. Real growth is slow, messy, and full of failures, but the flashy stories rarely show that.

Just take things with a grain of salt and follow your own path man. People talk out of their ass all the time… Whether it be some dude on YouTube or my uncle Chris on Thanksgiving. Id argue 90% of them haven’t even started a business at all and are just regurgitating financial information they heard elsewhere. Remember that finance YouTubers bring in the most ad revenue and sponsorship money out of any other category.
Part of being a “leader” for a business or product is being able to make informed decisions by yourself.

Real entrepreneurs don’t have time to post Youtube videos.

Lots of it is exaggerated. I personally know a YouTuber that couldn’t make a dime doing dropshipping so he decided to start a channel to start “teaching” people. He grew that channel to 40k subs and millions of views, also tons of affiliate sales. My point is that there’s a lot of bullshit on YT. 90% of the channels you see rehash the same shit that has been said thousands of times, and pretend they know what they’re talking about. A lot of them will go lengths to fake screens of earnings and never reveal their “money sites” like person that I mentioned above. And if they do, they’ll gloss over all the failures that happened behind the scenes, and make it seem like it was easy to get to that point. It’s way easier to come up with a bullshit story for a video, than actually put in the work and then share your findings.

Also worth noting that many gurus have some kind of community business, that’s their real business.
