    1. If you find the right fit, it’s perfect. But you may have to dig through the dirt before you find your match.

      Everyone signs partnerships thinking the other partner will do the work and bring them deals. In reality both parties are still very focused on their own goals and mission.

      Partnerships work best when they provide either market access where a mature brand needs help to service the demand that exists.

      Or where two organisations can combine their offering to compete with an established player that offers a solution which closely aligns to the combined offering of the partnership.

      We always advise against partnerships in the early stages of business as they take a lot of time and energy and often are a distraction from doing the work yourself.

      Once you’re an established brand, giving up some of your potential revenue to incentivise partners to provide you market access is a well trodden path and makes a lot of sense!!

      I’ve seen businesses get varied results depending on the partner they choose. The key is finding a marketing company that shows you live data on what’s working vs. guessing.
