I used to eat out alot bc I never had any food ready. Eearly August, started spending 2 hours on sunday making big batches of rice, chicken, and roasted veggies. Lunch costs $2 instead of $12 now. Takes forever on sunday but saves me +$200/month and I eat healthier. Bought glass containers from costco to portion everything out. Game changer for real. What are the perfect meal combos for food prep? I want to bring more variety and taste into my meal prepping experience
I cut my food spending significantly with meal prepping

I boil potatoes. Make egg bites. Rice. Pasta. Shred two rotisserie chickens. Cut all the veggies and fruits.
How many days do you meal prep for? Share your recipes and techniques please ❤️
Oven sheet pan meals are a lifesaver. Just throw in chicken thighs (cheaper than breast), sweet potatoes, and broccoli with some spice blends. Minimal effort, and you can batch multiple trays at once.
there are a couple meal prep and freezer groups on reddit that give some great ideas. I do the same, buy what’s on sale and cook it up, freeze in single serving portions 8 oz zip baggies and can create a meal picking from protein and veges in the chest freezer.
Sauces, stews, chilis and other big pot recipes are your friend. You can make a real homemade Bolognese sauce on the cheap, and a hearty pasta that stands up well to reheating like penne or rigatoni costs almost nothing.
You can make so, so many portions this way.
