For those of you who were laid off and haven’t been able to find a job for over a year, how are you managing your loans?
I was recently laid off like many others, and I’m worried about being unemployed long-term based on what I’m hearing—potentially even 2 years or more given the tough job market in the US.

If you have no income you can apply for an income driven plan and get a $0 monthly payment for 12 months before you need to recertify your income. Keep in mind that interest will still accrue.
Apply for an income driven repayment plan so your payment is $0.
