Why are markets ignoring the obvious?

    1. “Given that Donald Trump’s agenda should concern those who hold capital, many are wondering why there has been so little resistance to his administration from markets and Big Business. Six possible explanations stand out – and none of them bodes well for the long term.”

    2. We are living in a new paradigm. I know those are dangerous words, but I believe it.

Post-COVID, the way people view risk and markets has totally changed.

When COVID came, markets crashed; people were scared. People are not scared anymore.. even if COVID were to come again. Very little can scare people any more. Also, people saw how markets bounced back. The expectation is that any bounce would be recovered from.

    3. This person is perfectly encapsulating why economists are jokes.

Not everyone fears the same things you do.

Furthermore, if you’re so convinced Donald Trump is a dictator lite cult leader, then account for that in your models. If you so badly believe a third of the US is brainwashed, account for that in your models.

They can not pin down Trump’s economy because they assume everyone fears the same things they do.

That is why they are economists and not brokers.
