Recently discovered $LUKSO, started by creator of the Erc20 standard — any takes from others on Cms?

I've been looking into the emerging web3 category around decentralised social and creators in recent weeks.

I came across LUKSO and think its approach to on-chain identity and creator economics is worth a closer look. I’m eager to hear the CMS community’s perspectives on this project if some of you are already familiar with it (they still seem quite under the radar).

LUKSO is a layer-1 built specifically for social, cultural, and creative applications, using open standards and Universal Profiles to enable identity, ownership, and on-chain expression.

What caught my interest

• The Founder: Fabian Vogelsteller, an early Ethereum contributor who co-authored ERC20 with Vitalik
• Recent additions to team: Jan-Oliver Sell, recently joined after serving as CEO at Coinbase Germany and they also added Bruce Pon who is the Founder of Ocean Protocol.
• Blockchain purpose-built for people and communities: Targets social, cultural, and creator ecosystems, enabling identity and on-chain ownership across apps, marketplaces, and experiences.
• Universal Profile (UP): An on-chain identity account solution with richer data, permissions, and a smoother user experience. This was quite evident given the user experience when testing out their products.
• LUKSO Standard Proposals (LSPs): A formal set of technical standards tailored for social and creator use cases, aiming for interoperability across dApps and communities.

Ecosystem findings and highlights

• Early creators and brands: Vogue, Alexander McQueen, Karl Lagerfeld, VIRTUE by Vice, RTFKT, KidSuper — indicating traction in fashion, art, and culture.
• Community depth: 60k+ active communities and 150k+ validators suggest a resilient, self-sustaining network.
• Ecosystem momentum: 80+ active apps and infrastructure projects, and 30k+ universal profiles created suggest active activity and a growing network.
• Broad holderbase: As far as I can tell in tokenomics chart, underinvested by VCs and holdership is quite distributed. All early angel investors already 100% unlocked at the mainnet launch in 2023.
• Growing token access: The team recently launched their 2-way bridge to Ethereum with additional routes incoming. Been seeing increasing integrations across multiple web3 wallets in the last couple weeks (Gate, Binance, Coinbase and others)
