I've been thinking about the way people ask for help with student debt.

Usually if you set up something like GoFundMe, the money goes to you first, then you're supposed to use it for loans.

    But I'm wondering:

Would it feel better (or more legit) if contributions went directly to the loan servicer instead?

Would that make it easier to ask friends/family for smaller, recurring help (like $20-$30/month)?

Just curious how others with student loans see this. Honest thoughts welcome.

Would it feel different asking for help with your student loans if it went straight to the loan provider?
