My name’s Octavian and I wanted to share something I’ve been working on for 4 months. Hoping to get your thoughts!
In summary, we’ve create a web app that makes it easy to track solar quotes, compare benefits vs costs, and share them for feedback. We’ve been building based on real home owners’ needs from what we’ve seen on Reddit.
At first it was focused on helping find reputable installers, but it was hard to connect on social media with the people we are looking to help because they think we’re just selling leads. Tragic given the fact that $500-1000 of their systems mostly go back to one or two of the biggest platforms for finding installers (which is just like having a middle man sales person connect you with other sales people).
Anyways, the heart of the problem we’ve seen is that a lot of people are just comparing the cost of systems when looking at quotes. Not including operation/maintenance, not looking at insurance, and the yearly increase on those and so forth.
