Any ideas for concise datapoints to show the impact of business activity along different dimensions?

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for concise ways to illustrate the overall relevance or impact that business activity (i.e., firms) have across different dimensions.

I’m thinking about three categories:

• Economic
• Social
• Ecological

For the economic dimension, one example I thought of is the share of businesses in GDP. For OECD countries, this is about 72%, which nicely highlights their central role in economic activity.

What would be your go-to datapoint to underpin the impact of corporations in one of these dimensions (or perhaps another relevant one)?
