I've been trying to help a family member out with navigating their vanguard account, and the website is one of the most sloppy and counterintuitive sites I've seen in a long time. Not only are the menus all over the place, but certain clicks take you to different websites and it is overall very choppy and glitchy. Personally I use Schwab which is much smoother, despite the necessary high volume of menus. I'd be interested to hear other people's experiences and recommendations for alternatives (whether or not the online tools for Fidelity, etc. are notably better). Thanks !

Has anyone else found the Vanguard online tools to be absolutely atrocious?

    1. Vanguard historically has had a terrible website. It’s gotten better recently, but it’s still bad compared to something like Fidelity.

I can’t even get into the website today. It’s automatically logging me out when I log in.

I use VG and can confirm the website is atrocious. The app is even worse, literally unusable.

    4. Pretty bad. Of course they don’t cater to active traders b/c active trading is not consistent with Bogle’s investing philosophy. Still . . .even getting things like tax information is hard.

    5. I moved my 401k from vanguard to Fidelity as they sucked so bad, I would advise you to do the same, I could not even get my money out easily, after retiring, they make it very hard to ever withdraw funds. Move to Fidelity or Schwab, they seem to be the best choices now.
