What are your thoughts on partnerships?
Look just about anywhere online and you’ll hear that you should partner in real estate to get started and to scale.
While there’s merit in the idea, I think for most people, myself included, choosing the right partner is close to impossible and many partnerships fail. I had a business partner steal hundreds of thousands from the business and leave me in debt that I had to pay out of my own pocket. After that experience, I wouldn’t wish that upon anyone, but the more people I speak to in real estate, the more common it is… yet it’s never talked about.

Dont partner. Never ends well.. personal experience..
It’s absolutely necessary if you haven’t developed on your own before. If you’re just acquiring something, you may not need it
I’ve done it. It’s like a group project in school where one person does all the work and everyone else takes credit. Then when you have the project ready to hand in they come in and mess with things so they feel like they have some control and inevitably make it worse. I’d never do it again.
