Not really what they said. They said they’ll retaliate if the US doesn’t come negotiate lol.
Also they claim their new export controls won’t affect global production at a meaningful scale. Which is technically true, it won’t affect total trade that much, but it’ll devastate military supply chains

Deal is unlikely to happen, but if it does I bet it will be a temporary one at best before one side or the other finds some way to make it fail.
The US needs to sell soybeans and get some goods, particularly rare earth minerals.
China needs AI and they want their growth on the global stage to move forward with less interference from the US. More importantly they need the work to employ a bunch of people in their country.
If I was China I would demand that any deal negotiated has to be voted on by Congress within 30 days. If the deal can get through Congress the odds it will stick go up. I would also add that one of the conditions of the deal should be that if Congress approves it the deal cant be altered for a minimum of 5 years. Im the US negotiators would demand something to make that work, but without that congressional vote its highly likely this deal will last a few months at best.
After the negotiations happen even if a deal is reached there are factions who wont be happy and will take actions to help kill the deal. China has a massive nationalist propaganda machine that has been running for many years. There are true believers and many of them will want to stick it to the US even if it harms a bunch of people in China. In the US Trump will announce any deal and play up how much he won. If the terms dont align the spin he puts on it there will be issues where people call him out. His ego likely will mean he circles back around again for another deal.
If you want to bet a deal is reached fine, but I wouldn’t bet a deal is reached and it sticks.

All stocks will fly on Monday . It was a dump and pump game by insiders to get into AI party in their desired stocks. And they are successful. As usual, retail traders are worst hit, they will buy high on Monday when everything is up at least 5-10 %.

It’s time for China to publish the Trump tapes. They’re tired of him cosplaying as a bad ass.
