    2. The Republican party continues to claim to be the party of fiscal responsibility, despite decades of themselves proving this is nonsense. Their idiotic base still believes it.

      A more likely explanation is that as long as the spending aligns with their “values”, they’re fine with running up the debt. God forbid we spend money to make healthcare affordable, or raise the minimum wage so a huge part of the country isn’t living in poverty.

      The GOP sickens me. If I believed in hell, that’s where they all belong.

    3. I remember circa 1999 my 5th grade teacher looking at us with shame in her eyes telling us there was a trillion dollar debt we would inherit.

      It’s okay Ms Amato this at least doesn’t seem to be your fault.

    4. Gen Y is really going to have to get the fiscal house in order when they are in charge or Gen Z is going to have to make some very tough decisions.
