Do all insurance companies give your address to the other party after yall get into an accident? Why do they do that?
Wouldnt that be a security risk?

    1. You should have each other’s addresses already, you are supposed to exchange information on scene. Drivers license, insurance….

    2. Why would that be a security risk? You do know that your address is a matter of public record, right?

You exchange driver’s licenses.  Your driver license has your address.

Why are you thinking about settling scores or getting back at someone?  It’s just an accident, an **accident**.  Let the insurance companies fight it out, it’s their jobs.  It’s nothing personal.

No one is going to do something to your home or you over a deductible or possible premium hike.

Is the insurer specifically giving out your address or is it on the police accident report? Most states require that in a collision, the parties exchange information.

    5. Your address is a matter of public record and they would’ve gotten it when you exchanged information at the accident site anyway.

    6. When I was 19, I had my first crash. I was at fault. They didn’t put insurance info on crash reports at that time. The man that I pulled out in front of came to my house and was beating on the door yelling at me. It scared the fuck out of me. All he wanted was my ins info, but I was too terrified to listen to what he was yelling about.
