That’s not taking into account that 1.) Dominion voting is now owned by a a Republican voting official and 2.) Maps are getting gerrymandered out the wazoo and 3.) Republicans seem to be doing everything in their power to try and rig future elections so one side has an advantage.

Americans still believe that Republicans are better for the economy, even if they blame Republicans for the shutdown.
I’m not so sure about this take tbh. I’ve been watching election cycles for years and the “it’s the economy stupid” thing is way more complicated then people think. Like yeah, recessions hurt the party in power. But I’ve seen voters blame whoever they want to blame regardless of actual data. In 2008 people were pissed at Bush but Obama still had to deal with the fallout for years after. Plus the timing matters so much. If the economy tanks in 2025-2026, voters might forget by 2028. I’ve noticed people have pretty short memories when it comes to this stuff. Just feels like wishful thinking to me. Democrats need to actually connect with working class voters instead of just waiting for bad times to save them.

Then they’ll fix it up, and the whole time Republicans will be bitching and then when things are finally normal, voters will give Republicans another chance and theyll fuck it all up again, and the cycle continues!
