Posting this to hopefully help someone who is in a similar spot that I was in.

One year ago my entire business and life changed. I was very close to quitting my first business I ever started. I was bleeding money and reinvesting a lot of my day job money into the business. I lost all confidence in the business and really just gave up on it for a month and took that time to reassess my situation.

I realized that I was too focused on “making money” and I wasn’t having fun with it the way I used to when I was just passionate about starting something and being creative. I went back to the basics and decided to give the brand one more chance. I found my passion for it again once I stopped chasing the money and chased what excited me in the first place.

My business exploded. I went from doing 45k in 2 years, to doing $1.8M so far this year. It allowed me to quit my 200k/year corporate job, and afforded me the opportunity to live out my dream of being an entrepreneur. This is my first venture, but it won’t be my last! So happy I stuck with it.

I wanted to share this not to brag, but to hopefully inspire someone who is in a similar situation. It can change so quickly when you really are passionate about what you’re doing and what you’re building. I’m a believer in manifestation, and I realized when I’m not confident in what I’m doing, I don’t think it’s possible, and therefore I don’t achieve it. On the other hand, when I’m confident I will do anything possible to make my visions and dreams come true. Keep going!!

I’m looking for mentoring, I also want to grow a business in the arts without drowning in problems operations or taxes. I became a disabled babysitter and I was a engineer. My back is bad lately and I wanted to take a break from tech and do my own thing with flexibility. It’s hard for me to sit and stand long periods of time, if u have any fav book, podcast, or mentor you could recommend if really appreciate it.

    3. Quit. and go back to the drawing board, take a moment off and regroup. it is hard to hear trust me but if you are not motivated there is a why.

    4. Thank you for sharing. As someone who just started this journey, it is truly inspiring to hear your experience and how discovering your passion and purpose help you persevere through. Just wondering, what does your business do to generate 1.8M?

    5. What exactly was the creative pivot that you focused on that allowed you to have that sort of revenue?
