Hello everyone, I’m young and eager to learn. I want to gain knowledge and grow without feeling stuck. I really want to be successful in life, but I’m not sure where to start or how to take the right steps. I’d greatly appreciate any guidance on how to move forward and execute effectively. Thank you in advance!
People that are successful in life, how much capital did you need to start? And what are thing's that you wished you knew while working.

You don’t need a map to move forward, just the courage to take the first step.
what are you trying to build?
I was broke so a service based business was the only one that I could afford to start
My very first business was on etsy – started with £10 in listing fees selling no copyright artwork (print on demand/drop shipping)
That one ended up turning over a little over 110k in the first year.
Used the capital from that to kick-start all additional businesses ever since – rinse and repeat some process.
If you’re gaining knowledge and growing why would you feel stuck?
I feel like you’ve asked a slightly vague question, which might lead to some vague answers 🙂
But to be more specific, I personally spent 5 years in-house in marketing before starting my own company, and looking back a few things I think I did right at the start of my career were:
* **Procrastinate by learning new skills** (couldn’t face doing boring reporting tasks one morning? I’d pick up a camera and learn how to make Meta video ads)
* **Be the right level of lazy** – I refused to do manual repetitive tasks 80% of the time, and I’d suggest to my boss ways I could automate them. (I think there’s a good Bill Gates quote about this)
* **Be obsessed with understanding** – I personally can’t work on tasks if I don’t understand the WHY, this can be annoying for your boss, and may even cause issues sometimes, but I would keep digging until I knew why I was being asked to do a task.
* **Focus on what you don’t want to do (sometimes)** – For me this can be just as motivating as focussing on what I DO want to spend my time doing haha
I do think it’s about 10x as hard to start your own business if you’ve never worked for someone else, and most people start their careers in an office, not as an entrepreneur.
A good health and energy capital.
You want to be successful without hurdles? Think again. I just talked to a CEO on LinkedIn telling his story and battle with illness, bullying and sheer survival
Please stop dreaming and be real. Do your journey and face your battles with dignity; but stop perpetuating unrealistic expectations. If your life is without anything real; I guess you’re not living real life, real challenges and you won’t survive.
Yes, I have seen successful men, losing everything, end their life. Please define what success means. Stuck is life telling you to slow down and reflect. Nothing wrong with that.
