I own a small experiential design company, making interior signage for larger companies and universities. Think vinyl clings and posters for football stadium walls and the logos you see on glass doors in medical offices. It’s pretty consistent but project based. Any thoughts on how to start creating recurring revenue streams? We have designers and installers on staff, but they’re not savvy for website or social media creation.

Your question really boils down to “how can I increase revenue?” And the easiest ways to do this are:
      1) Re-engage customers.
      2) Grow the market.
      3) Steal market share.
      4) Convert latent intent prospects.
      5) Create a new market offering.

You really do want to be on socials as 74% of people will use that to inform their buying decisions. But I’ll offer some ideas that don’t heavily involve that – Just some first-thought ideas:

      – Offer topical projects (Christmas, Halloween, etc.) to existing clients so they can snazz up their businesses/ offices to match the time of year.

      – For restaurants you can create offers for yearly Hygiene Rating update signs.

      – Gain Social proof by redesigning signs for failing businesses near you and giving them away for free (provided they do collab posts).

      – Get a creative in as your next hire, I ran a campaign for a skateboarding company where we printed out vinyl boards and put them on public transportation so people could ‘skate the tube/metro etc. when there is no sitting room.

      – Hit the streets once a week, find peeling or old signs and offer to replace them at a discounted rate.

      – Add reverse-graffiti to your signs offering and you can upsell pavement/sidewalk packages with installation.

      – Upsell seasonal A0 boards for businesses to cycle monthly or quarterly communications & offers.

      ⬆️ Hope this helps 🤙
